Kurt has been a resident of Norman, Oklahoma, since his youth, and is one of the three founders of the Taco Mayo restaurant chain. Even when he was a young boy, however, Kurt dreamed of becoming a custom builder. With the financial freedom provided by the success of the restaurant chain, Kurt continually developed his passion for the application of unique architectural design to the construction process, studying commercial art and design along the way. Having also founded a construction company in the 1980’s, Kurt soon found a void in the residential market for distinctively designed homes with old world quality and luxury amenities, but at an affordable price. It became Kurt’s mission to meet the desire for such distinctive homes. The skills Kurt has honed over the years have allowed him to become a state “Certified Professional Builder.” Further, to gain a firm grasp on the real estate market, to better serve the needs of our clients, Kurt became a licensed real estate broker.
Kurt has traveled extensively in Europe to experience, first hand, old world European architecture and design. Kurt’s overall vision, unique design and construction management skills, gained from more than twenty years in the industry, serve as the guiding force leading the SUN team’s continuous development of unique designs with peerless attention to quality and craftsmanship at a cost you will have to experience to believe.
Keith is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with Bachelor of Arts and law degrees. Keith has worked in the construction industry for fourteen years, and is involved in all phases of the construction of your home from land acquisitions, financing, contracting, design, and on-site quality assurance. Keith’s experience, from the office to the field, helps ensure that your home will be built with the most innovative design and the highest degree of quality.
Kathy, as well as partner, is the design coordinator for Sun Custom Homes. She has, for more than a decade, added her unique perspective to the interior and exterior design elements of Sun Custom Homes. She is available to assist clients with their material and fixture choices in many areas such as lighting, wall colors, granite selections, plumbing fixtures, etc. She will also assist you with introductions to our many quality suppliers to help you make your project a success. Kathy's perspectives, along with her calm and organized approach, is a valued asset to the Sun Custom Home Experience.
Paul has over 25 years of accounting experience with multi-profit center organizations. He oversees the payment of our subcontractors and sees that they are properly insured while on our job sites. Whether your project is a “flat fee” or “cost-plus” project, Paul organizes the SUN Custom Homes proprietary budgeting and cost analysis program utilizing customized, detailed AIA format spreadsheet budgets and other records on each project to ensure that all project costs are paid and all lien waivers associated with each project are signed and delivered. His efforts help alleviate many of our clients’ economic concerns regarding the financial progress of the project, thereby preserving the enjoyment in your purchase of a new Sun Custom home.
Jerry is a seasoned veteran in new home construction with almost 20 years building experience. As Project Director for SUN Custom Homes he maintains close contact with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that every detail of every SUN Custom Home is closely monitored to maintain SUN Custom Homes exceptional standards. With daily, on-site supervision, Jerry is an integral part of SUN Custom Homes commitment to build homes that are superior in design, quality and affordability.
Lance was born and raised in the Oklahoma City area and moved to Dallas in 1996 to join the home building rush that had just hit north Texas. He has been a Project Manager in the home building industry for 14 years. He recently moved back "home" to Oklahoma City and joined the SUN Custom Homes team as Project Manager. As you build your home with Lance, you will be treated with respect and honesty. He has the experience and dedication to make your journey through the home building experience a pleasant ride.
